Our long-term goal is to contribute to the discussion on educational policy and reform with innovative ideas and findings that may lead to the reduction of inequity in the education system and an overall increase in its quality.

The purpose of CONTEXTOS is to promote the study of Chile's education system, by fostering cooperation and exchange of ideas among young educational researchers in order to inform educational policy.

We are a network of educational researchers in the areas of policy, organizations, evaluation, management, teaching, learning, and leadership from the University of California Berkeley and Stanford University.
